Goodbye, Summer!
The Weekly Check-In
Hello Wonderful Pivoters,
Saying goodbye to summer has always been bittersweet for me. Maybe because I grew up in the tropics, and living in temperate seasons was something I started to experience when I moved across the world as an adult. I feel the seasons shift more and I love how summer lingers with its last long evenings, warm breezes, and golden light — but then, almost overnight, it slips away.
The end of summer air has a distinct chill to it this week, and the days are noticeably shorter. Fall is stepping in with its crisp air and shifting colors, reminding us that one season always yields to another.
In many ways, midlife mirrors that change. Just as summer doesn’t announce its final day, menopause often doesn’t either. One day you wake up and realize: the body that carried you through your twenties, thirties, and forties has quietly transitioned. Goodbye, summer. Hello, midlife.
I don’t see this as a loss though. I see it as a pivot. A new season with its own richness.
Curated Corner: Embracing Transition
As we let go of this summer and welcome fall, here are some reminders that I tell myself about what it means to embrace transition:
Every season has its beauty. Just as fall brings harvest and reflection, midlife brings clarity, wisdom, and the chance to center yourself.
Change is not failure. Menopause isn’t the end of vitality — it’s a shift that asks for new ways of nurturing your body.
Preparation matters. Just as we swap sandals for boots, preparing our bodies (bone health, hydration, movement, rest) makes the new season more vibrant.
Meno-Stories
I never mourned my cycles ending, I was just relieved that I did not have to plan around my periods anymore. It was the end of having anxieties about the next flood of symptoms. But, I know many women who grieved. They say — it felt like losing a part of their identity and they say their 'old self' was more energetic, more predictable.
To these women, I pray that over time, they will realize that their cycles ending also means gaining freedom. I found a new rhythm, one I could finally claim as mine. I am in a new normal that feels more intentional and honest. I’ve said goodbye to summer, and I’ve found a grace and resilience I didn’t know I had.
Transitions are rarely simple. But they always carry possibility.

Meno-Pivot Shopping: Your Seasonal Toolkit
As we transition into a new season, both literally and metaphorically, having the right tools can make all the difference.
A Comfortable Shawl or Blanket: A cozy wrap provides comfort during moments of physical or emotional transition.
A Calming Herbal Tea: A warm cup of tea can be a perfect ritual for slowing down and embracing the changing pace.
Bioderma Atoderm Shower Oil or any Shower Oil you prefer: To gently hydrate as cooler air dries skin.
A Cozy Journal: A companion for reflecting on shifts, just like the season.
A Weighted Blanket: To soothe restless sleep during menopausal nights.
(As always, these are not ads — just thoughtful recommendations the Meno-Pivot team thinks can help make this season softer.)
